BRISTOL, Tenn. –The Lincoln Memorial University men's volleyball team concludes its regular season with a match at King (19-5) on Tuesday night at the Student Center Complex. The Railsplitters (12-12) clinched the top seed in the upcoming IVA Tournament by sweeping Coker in straight sets on Friday night. The Tornado clinched a share of the Conference Carolinas regular season title with a 3-0 win over Mount Olive on Saturday.
King dealt Lincoln Memorial its only home loss of the season with a straight set sweep (25-23, 25-16, 25-19) on January 30. The Tornado are 3-0 all-time against the Railsplitters.

- Lincoln Memorial swept Coker in straight sets (25-22, 25-16, 25-18) to complete a season sweep over the Cobras and set a new program record with its third road victory of the season. LMU only led in kills 37-36 but hit .370 while the Cobras only had a .126 mark. Coker committed 24 attack errors to LMU's seven. The Railsplitters also had the advantage in blocks (10-1) and service aces (5-1) while Coker led in digs (34-29).

Pedro Carvalho tied a season high with 11 kills and hit a blazing .846 with zero attack errors. He added five blocks and two service aces.
Evan Cory also did not commit an attack error and racked up 10 kills at a .476 clip while also pitching in two service aces and four blocks.
AJ Risavy racked up a match-high 31 assists.
- Carvalho remains the national leader with 1.49 blocks per set and 27 solo blocks. For the second time this year, the sophomore from São Paulo, Brazil is a finalist for Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Player of the Month for his performance in March.
- The Railsplitters are second nationally in blocks per set with 2.80. This has helped the team hold opponents to the fourth-lowest hitting percentage of .193.
- Cory has recorded a double-digit kill total in 17 of 24 matches and leads the team with 295 kills, 3.39 kills per set and 35 service aces. The sophomore from Metairie, Louisiana has led or been tied for the team lead in kills in 20 of 24 matches.
- Risavy is the only other Railsplitter besides Carvalho to start all 24 matches and appear in all 87 sets played. The freshman setter has dished out 744 assists and averages 8.55 per set.
- Lincoln Memorial finished 9-1 on the season at Mary Mars Gymnasium and is 17-6 all-time. The Railsplitters are 3-11 playing away from Harrogate on the year and 5-23 in the program's brief history.
- The team has improved its attack percentage from .201 in its inaugural year to .221. Kills per set are nearly even from 10.21 to 10.20. Digs per set are down from 8.80 to 8.31. Blocks per set have increased dramatically from 1.98 to 2.80.
Notes on King:
- The Tornado tied with Barton atop the Conference Carolinas standings with a 15-1 record. The home team won each matchup in the season series after King topped Barton in four sets Friday night in Bristol.
- King kit .347 in the match with 50 kills while Barton only had 40 kills at a .147 clip. Kiel Bell led all players with 17 kills, and Jeff Sprayberry added 15 for the Tornado.
- With the win over Mount Olive Saturday, King clinched the number one seed for the Conference Carolinas tournament and a share of the regular season Conference Carolinas title.
- The Tornado will host eighth-seeded Lees-McRae in the quarterfinal of the Conference Carolinas tournament.
- Sprayberry leads King with 269 kills and 3.59 per set. Bell isn't far behind with 231 for a 3.12 per set average. Jon Wheaton is the only other player to record more than 100 kills (115).
- King is hitting .280 as a team while opponents have only hit .156—the lowest mark in the country.
- King is a perfect 10-0 at home on the year and is 26-1 in Bristol over the past two seasons.
