HARROGATE, Tenn. — The Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer team will have to wait another two days to begin its season.
After a lightning delay stopped and ended the women's match early, which pushed the men's home and season opener versus Erskine back even further, the lightning didn't let up. The rain followed with thunder and more lightning strikes to officially postpone the non-conference matchup.
It is unknown if the two teams will try to reschedule. The Railsplitters will attempt to open their season at 3:30 p.m. Saturday when Salem University comes to town.
