Quick Hits

- The Railsplitters should have two matches under their belt before squaring off with Lee, but lightning and rain washed away their true season opener last Thursday.

- Once LMU took the field on Saturday, the Railsplitters made sure the result was well worth the wait, defeating Salem University for a home and season-opening, 1-0, victory.

- Freshman Danilo Seglio jumpstarted his LMU career by scoring the Railsplitters' first goal of the season and the lone score in the 53rd minute. It was a free kick, just inside the left post from the Brazilian, that gave LMU all it needed to leave victorious.

- Goalkeeper Caleb Cothrin paced a Railsplitter clean sheet behind a stout defense, led by freshman Rodrigo Aguiar and sophomore Andrea Cantoni.

- Cothrin's biggest save came in the 73rd minute when the senior hauled in a header, off a corner kick, that could have been the equalizer.

Know the Opponent

- Lee heads to Harrogate, Tenn., for its first in-state matchup of the season.

- Sophomore reserve Owen Keck connected on the Flames' lone goal while Reese Lavery and Jared McWhorter combined on the assist.

- Goalkeeper Daniel Hrenko heads into the matchup with a clean sheet in his pocket after allowing a season-opening goal before bouncing back in his second appearance.

Head-to-Head

- It's been over 30 years since the two in-state teams have met. The last time was in 1988 when the Railsplitters took down the Flames, 3-1, in the Tennessee Valley Athletic Conference Championship.

- The first time LMU and Lee squared off was in 1987 where the Railsplitters walked away with a 5-0 win. The pair of matches were both played in Harrogate with LMU out-scoring the Flames 8-1.

- Both the Railsplitters and Flames finished last year above .500, while LMU boasted a 10-5-3 record, good enough for a NCAA Tournament appearance. Lee held a 6-6-4 record.
