GREENVILLE, S.C. — The first-half momentum was in the hands of the Lady Railsplitters.
Maria Hernandez made sure of it, scoring her first goal of the season with just over a minute left in the first half to put her team ahead on a dreary Saturday, but the next 45 minutes ripped away what the Lincoln Memorial University women's soccer team built up.
Anderson knotted the score at 1-all — when Bethany Morgan connected on one of her two goals — in the 58th minute before the Trojans added two more to take the South Atlantic Conference matchup and setback LMU, 3-1, at Legacy Early College in Greenville, S.C.
The Lady Railsplitters (9-4, 3-4 SAC) had 13 shots to the Trojans' 10 as they also had more corners (6-to-1), but Anderson (6-5, 4-3) took advantage with its shots on goal with one more than LMU, 7-6.
LMU will wrap up its three-match road trip with its final non-conference matchup versus Salem at 2 p.m. Wednesday before hosting SAC opponent Newberry at 1 p.m. Saturday at the LMU Soccer Complex.
