Railsplitters Come Up Short At Coker University

HARTSVILLE, SC. – Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer traveled to Coker University for a conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Jacques Fokam-Sandeu of Coker University netted the first goal of the game in the 26th minute with a ball placed from goalkeeper Guilermo Falo Ejea to take a 1-0 lead over the Railsplitters.
 
Sophomore midfielder Danilo Seglio made a return to the lineup after suffering an ankle injury and notched a goal with an assist credited to freshman midfielder Hunter Stroble.
 
TEAM STATS:
The Railsplitters trailed the Cobras in shots (11-17), shots on goal (5-8) and led in corner kicks (8-7).
 
THE KEEPERS:
CU –  Falo Ejea recorded an assist, along with four saves and one goal against on the afternoon.
LMU – Robin Hermann tallied six saves and two conceded goals throughout the contest.
 
HISTORICALLY SPEAKING:
After today's setback against the Cobras, the Railsplitters suffer their first loss ever to Coker University and the all-time head-to-head record sits at 3-1-4 dating back to September of 2013.    
 
UP NEXT!
The Railsplitters will return to the LMU Soccer Complex in Harrogate, Tennessee for their final regular season match against Mars Hill University scheduled for a kickoff at 3:30 PM on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
