HARROGATE, Tenn. – On the heels of a dramatic win this past weekend, the Railsplitters return to Tex Turner Arena to host Hiwassee on Wednesday night for the final nonconference tune-up of the 2018-19 campaign.

Cornelius Taylor swished a buzzer-beating three-pointer to send Lincoln Memorial (16-6, 11-4 SAC) past the Wingate Bulldogs in a crucial South Atlantic Conference road game on Saturday evening, keeping the Railsplitters solidly in second place in the league standings.

Hiwassee (12-14) is coming off an 88-80 loss against Johnson University on Monday. The Tigers will be playing their third game in five days after securing a 92-80 win over Fisk at home on Saturday.

The Railsplitters will be seeking their 21st consecutive win over the Tigers when the two teams tip off at 7 p.m. in Harrogate. - Hiwassee does not share a common opponent with Lincoln Memorial this season.
- Toure Fudge led Hiwassee in its loss to Winthrop, dropping 18 points on 7-of-15 shooting over 22 minutes of work. Jamal Weaver added 13 points, while Ben Snider had 12 points in only 17 minutes of action.

Last Time Out

In a game that featured seven ties and 11 lead changes and saw neither team lead by more than six points, the Railsplitters escaped Wingate with a 67-64 win on the back of Taylor's last-second three-pointer on Saturday evening at Cuddy Arena.

Lincoln Memorial trailed by six points with less than nine minutes to go, but used an 8-0 run powered by threes from Taylor and Julius Brown to take the lead.

The Railsplitters never trailed again as Cameron Henry buried four clutch threes down the stretch to keep the Bulldogs at bay. However, Wingate made a late 6-0 run to tie the game with six seconds to go, setting up the dramatic finish and Taylor's heroics.

Brown led LMU off the bench with 17 points and four assists, while Henry scored all 14 of his points in the second half to go along with eight rebounds. Taylor produced nine points, though he went 3-for-16 from the field and 3-for-13 from three. Kamaran Calhoun grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds and handed out four assists.

The Railsplitters beat the Bulldogs for the 15th consecutive time and improved to 5-5 in road games this season with the victory.
