HARROGATE, Tenn. – The LMU men's tennis team improved to 4-1 on the season as they picked up the 6-1 Founder's Day win over King Tuesday evening.
Sebastian Colla and
Fabian Sjokvist earned the 6-0 win at no. 2 doubles, followed by
Iker Moure and
Moritz Hoerner soon afterward with their 6-1 win at no. 3. King won at no. 1 but LMU earned the match point.
In singles, King earned their only match point with a win at the no. 3 flight. Moure won at no. 2 6-4, 6-2 and
David Segarra won at no. 1 6-4, 6-7. Colla then won at no. 4 6-2, 7-6 before Sjokvist gave LMU the match victory with his 6-3, 6-2 win at no. 5.
Felipe Charry picked up the 6-7, 6-2, 10-4 win at the no. 6 flight to end the match.
LMU will host Young Harris next Monday at 1:00 p.m.
