HICKORY, NC – Lenoir-Rhyne took the doubles point and five of the six singles points as they defeated LMU 6-1 in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday afternoon.
LMU (7-4, 1-2 SAC) picked up wins at the third doubles spot and no. 2 singles. In doubles, 
Iker Moure and 
Felipe Charry picked up the 6-2 win over L-R's Mauricio Hernandez and Josh Lazenby. The Bears then won the second spot by a 6-4 score and the first spot by a 7-5 score to take the match doubles point.
In singles, the Bears picked up wins at the one, three, and five spots to win the match. The flights at two, four and six then went to "hurry-up" scoring, and Moure picked up the lone LMU point with his 8-5 win at the second spot over Lazenby.
The Railsplitters host Mars Hill in a SAC match Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the LMU Tennis Complex.
