MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Thirteenth-ranked Georgia College won the doubles point and took five of the six singles flights to claim the 6-1 victory over the LMU men's tennis team Saturday.
The Bobcats quickly captured the doubles point as they picked up the win at no.3 where Nathan Connelly and Enzo Kohn won 6-2 over LMU's
Moritz Hoerner and
Iker Moure. Then at no. 1
Sebastian Colla and
Fabian Sjokvist fell to Robin Moller and Matt Rogel 6-1.
The Railsplitters picked up their lone point at no. 5 singles, where Sjokvist defeated Connelly 6-2, 7-5. The nos. 3, 4, and 6 flights all went to tiebreaker sets, with GCSU players prevailing.
LMU falls to 6-2 with the loss and will next play at Catawba in the South Atlantic Conference opener next Saturday.
