HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The LMU women's tennis team improved to 10-7 and 4-4 in South Atlantic Conference play with as they blanked Coker 7-0 Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Railsplitters took the second and third doubles flights to claim the point. At the second spot
Julia Loos and
Julia Valls defeated Zoe Heed and Kelli Stinchcomb 6-3, while in the third flight
Samantha Hogan and
Kristin Vogel bested Lea Weber and Kelli Hurt 6-2.
In singles, LMU swept all six flights to claim the 7-0 win. Loos got things going as she defeated Weber 6-1, 6-0 at the fourth flight. Soon after,
Amanda Dahlstrom picked up the 6-1, 6-2 win over Hurt at the sixth flight. In the second spot,
Marta Pinol bested Tammie Chew 7-6, 6-3, while at the three spot Valls defeated Heed 6-2, 6-3.
Johanna Delisse needed three sets to win over Charlote Clarke 6-0, 3-6, 10-6 at the first spot, and Vogel won over Stinchcomb 8-5 at the fifth flight.
LMU will play at Union on Monday.
