HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, in conjunction with the institution's COVID-19 task force, has announced revised attendance policies for home basketball games during the 2020-21 season.
 
B. Frank "Tex" Turner Arena will have a limited capacity of 10% in an effort of promoting and prioritizing the health and safety of student-athletes and game day personnel in light of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The following groups of individuals are the only permitted attendees for home LMU athletic events held inside Tex Turner Arena:

• Student-Athlete Pass List Designees
• L Club Members
• 50 Students
• Dignitaries
• Game Day Personnel

In line with LMU's COVID-19 policies and protocols, specific guidelines have been outlined to keep the health and safety of the LMU community the athletic department's top priority.
 
Permitted attendees will be given a specified entry time and gate from which to enter the arena. Masks/face coverings are required for entry into Tex Turner Arena. Additionally, masks/face coverings must be worn at all times while inside the arena and during any game. Any individual who does not comply with this policy will be asked to leave the facility immediately.
 
All game day personnel and permitted attendees must follow proper Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and LMU protocols related to physical distancing. Appropriate signage and other markings will be placed at entrances and other areas within Tex Turner Arena for reference purposes. Temperature checks will be performed on all team personnel (coaches, players, staff, athletic trainers, etc.) and permitted attendees upon arrival to Tex Turner Arena. Entry will not be permitted otherwise.
 
Physical distancing of six feet or more is required and will be clearly marked inside the facility, which includes limited court access in compliance with the South Atlantic Conference and NCAA. Seating at Tex Turner Arena will be arranged to ensure compliance of all CDC health and safety guidelines. This includes rows and seats clearly marked in efforts of creating six feet of separation between permitted attendees not of the same party. Standing along the four courtside corridors of Tex Turner Arena will not be permissible.
