HARROGATE – The Lincoln Memorial University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announces
The Railway | A Five-Part Professional Development Series for over 400 Railsplitter student-athletes. The five-part professional development series will take place via Zoom this summer and will feature a different guest speaker in each session.
Open to all LMU student-athletes,
The Railway will provide an opportunity for key insight from some of the top professionals in various industries. Student-athletes will be able to participate in a live Q&A with the main objective of each session being to better prepare for life after college.

The Railway helps us deliver on our drive of creating Lincoln Memorial University men and women. By creating this five-part learning series, I wanted to make sure our student-athletes are equipped with resources and become empowered to succeed with life after graduating."
Each part of the series will feature a different topic such as "Working in Sports Media", "Women in Sports" and "Working in Higher Education".
The Railway is set to begin Tuesday, June 9 with longtime sports journalist Mark W. Wright. Other guest speakers include ESPN's Tiffany Greene and University of Tennessee at Martin Chancellor Dr. Keith Carver.

About Mark W. Wright
Sports has been Mark W. Wright's life since college.
The journalist, producer and documentarian is a proud alumnus of Howard University's School of Communications – where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Mark spent 15 years at ESPN, starting at
ESPN The Magazine, moving on to
ESPN Events, and rounding out at
ESPN's The Undefeated, where he wrote about soccer, culture and HBCUs.
At ESPN, Mark fed his passion for documentaries – serving as writer and producer on his most meaningful project,
Redemption Song, a film about his beloved Howard winning a national soccer championship.
After
The Undefeated, Mark had a short stint at OZY Media – where he was senior editor for Sports & Race.
Mark and his journalist wife established Wright Creative Agency & Productions (2015), a content marketing and video production company. At WCA, the two collaborate to do what they've done their whole careers: tell stories.

About Tiffany Greene
Tiffany Greene is a play-by-play commentator for ESPN, covering a variety of collegiate sports including basketball, football, softball and volleyball.
Greene is the first African-American woman to serve as a play-by-play commentator for college football on a major network.
Greene has called a number of postseason games including the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament, NCAA Softball Regional and Super Regionals, as well as NCAA Volleyball Regionals.
Greene originally began working with ESPN as a college football sideline reporter in 2012. She has since worked on the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl on ABC and other bowl games. Greene also reported on the College Football All-Star Challenge.
Prior to ESPN, Greene honed her skills as a play-by-play announcer and reporter at Bright House Sports Network in the Orlando and Tampa Bay markets. During that time, she was the play-by-play announcer for the inaugural season of Big East women's basketball on Fox Sports 1.
Greene earned her bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Florida A&M University (FAMU). She serves on the FAMU School of Journalism & Graphic Communication Board of Visitors.
Greene is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Links Incorporated. Greene lives in Tampa with her husband, Aaron, and their son Bryson.

About Dr. Keith Carver
Dr. Keith Carver began his duties as is the 11th chancellor of the University of Tennessee at Martin on January 3, 2017.
During his time in office, UT Martin has developed a five-year strategic plan for university growth and development; increased overall headcount by almost four percent and first-year freshman enrollment by almost nine percent (from fall 2017 to fall 2018); and developed dual-enrollment partnerships with both Jackson State Community College and Southwest Tennessee Community College.
Carver's tenure also includes the addition of several new programs to the academic catalog, including a new bachelor's degree program in agricultural business; a 3+3 legal studies concentration for English and political science majors in partnership with the UT College of Law; a 3+1 transfer track in partnership with the UT Health Science Center's School of Pharmacy; concentrations in data science and digital hardware and embedded systems in the Department of Computer Science; a concentration in mechatronics in the Department of Engineering; and concentrations in higher education leadership, special education and literacy in the master's degree program for educational studies.

About Eric Snow
Eric Snow is an American basketball coach and former professional player who is an assistant coach for the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. He played the point guard position in the National Basketball Association from 1995 to 2008 and appeared in three NBA Finals. Known for his defense, Snow was named to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2003. Snow reached the NBA Finals once with each of the teams on which he played: the Seattle SuperSonics in 1996, the Philadelphia 76ers in 2001, and the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2007. All three appearances were losses. In Philadelphia and Cleveland, Snow served as team co-captain alongside Allen Iverson and LeBron James, respectively.
Following his playing career, Snow served as an assistant coach at Florida Atlantic for two years (2014-2016) after having worked two seasons at SMU (2012–14) as the director of player development under Larry Brown, his former coach.

About Julie Roe Lach
Julie Roe Lach is in her seventh year with the Horizon League, serving as the Deputy Commissioner since August 2014. Roe Lach brings more than 20 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics to the Horizon League.
Previously, Roe Lach was president of JRL Consulting, focusing on placement advising and contract negotiations for clients seeking executive level jobs, strategic planning with conferences, compliance education and advising for institutions and head coaches, and leadership development for female administrators.
At the Horizon League, Roe Lach oversees the implementation of the Horizon League's strategic plan. Additionally, Roe Lach handles the day-to-day operations within the League office while supervising regular season and championship competition, messaging, governance, student-athlete well-being, corporate sponsorships, and resource allocation.
