HARROGATE, TENN. – The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team fell to Lee University 2-0 Tuesday afternoon.
The Railsplitters were outshot 21-3 this afternoon, with the Flames putting 10 shots on goal. Goalkeeper
Jackson Jalovec, making his first start of the year, picked up a career-high eight saves.
The game was close for most of the first half, before the Flames scored a goal in the 28
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Flames would take that lead into the half as the Railsplitter offense couldn't muster any attacks in the first half, as they only were able to attempt one shot.
The second half was more of the same for LMU as Lee scored another goal just five minutes into second half play. The Railsplitter defense held up from there, as Jalovec was sensational in net, saving seven shots the rest of the way and withstanding 17 total second half shots.
The offense couldn't get things going in the second half, taking two shots, with neither of them being on goal.
Overall,
Will Arrowood, Pedro da Silva, and
August Harp led the Lincoln Memorial attack, with all three of them taking one shot.
Rodrigo Aguiar and
Jackson Jalovec both made their season debuts today for the Railsplitters.
