HARROGATE, Tenn. - After a season that saw the Lincoln Memorial University women's basketball team (8-10) earn the eighth seed in the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Pilot Flying J Women's Basketball Championship, the Lady Railsplitters will host Coker (7-12) inside B. Frank "Tex" Turner Arena on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 2:00 p.m. in a first-round matchup.
Versus The Cobras
LMU has a 10-6 record against the Cobras all-time and have won nine of the eleven matchups since the 2015-16 season. Last season, the teams won on each other's home court as the Lady Railsplitters won 69-64 in Hartsville and Coker won 45-41 in Harrogate and LMU won 68-55 on November 24.
About Coker
Finishing ninth in the South Atlantic Conference standings, the Cobras are led by first-year head coach Melissa DeVore. Ahlea Myers leads the team in scoring at 12.4 points per game while Emily Davis joins her in double figures with 10.2 per contest. Saquita Joyner leads the team in rebounding with 6.1 per game.
Looking Ahead
The winner will advance to the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Pilot Flying J Women's Basketball Championship quarterfinals and travel to Jefferson City, Tenn. to take on top-seeded Carson-Newman.
