Jefferson City, TN- The Lady Railsplitters took on the Carson-Newman Lady Eagles on this Wednesday night. Kickoff was underway on this beautiful evening in Tennessee.
 
Both teams came out shooting in the first half. Lexi Bearden and Merel Houweling kept making shooting attempts on goal but couldn't sneak one by. Bente Latenstein had kept Carson-Newman scoreless in the first half with 5 shot attempts. She had made 2 saves and the team had 1 block.
 
The second half started up and right away Carson-Newman came out taking shots on goal. Bente Latenstein continued with a few saves. Late in the second half Carson-Newman's Jente Kuper scored assisted by Savannah Fields and Elena Propst scored assisted by Abbie Zander. Katherine Browning and Corrine Denton continued to shoot for LMU but came up short. The final score was 2-0, Carson-Newman.
 
Carson-Newman took the victory over Lincoln Memorial this Wednesday evening. The Lady Railsplitters are back in action, home in Harrogate this Saturday, October 15^th, 2022 at 1:30 pm.
