Emory, Va - The Lady Railsplitters took on the Emory & Henry Wasps this Saturday afternoon. This is their third conference game and they went into it 5-3. The Wasps took the victory over Lincoln Memorial 59-62, giving LMU their 4th loss of the season.
 
In the first quarter, Alexis Schulz made a 3-pointer, Saquita Joyner made a layup and Kassidy Kenny made a free throw. Alexa Smiddy stole the ball early in the first few minutes of the game. There was a total of 12 rebounds in the first quarter which were from a combined effort from Saquita Joyner, Alexis Schulz, Alexa Smiddy, Chloe Savage, Zakiyah Moss and Geovana Rios. Lauren Flowers and Saquita Joyner both had steals later in the quarter. In the second quarter, Alexa Smiddy put up a 3-pointer as well as Geovana Rios. Saquita Joyner put up 6 points throughout the quarter. There were 10 rebounds in the quarter.
 
In the 3rd quarter, Saquita Joyner, Kassidy Kenny, Alexa Smiddy, Alexia Schulz, and Geovana Rios all contributed to putting points on the scoreboard. There were 13 rebounds in this quarter. In the 4th quarter, Saquita Joyner put up 9 points, Alexa Smiddy put up 7 points, and Alexis Schulz and Geovana Rios both had a jump shot.
 
The Lady Railsplitters fell to the Wasps this afternoon, 59-62. LMU is now 1-2 in SAC conference play. The Lady Railsplitters will be back in action next Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 5:30 pm, taking on Southern Wesleyan away.
