HICKORY, N.C. – The Lincoln Memorial University men's lacrosse program fell on the road at No. 13 Lenoir-Rhyne, 22-3, on Saturday afternoon.
The nationally ranked Bears controlled the contest from the opening faceoff, but the Railsplitters were able to limit the L-R offense in the first quarter. Lenoir-Rhyne took a 3-0 lead after the first 15 minutes of play.
Lincoln Memorial cut into the Bears' lead at the 13:29 mark from
Hunter Kot before Lenoir-Rhyne scored five straight to take the lead into the break, 8-1.
The Railsplitters went onto tally just twice more in the contest, both goals coming in the fourth, but the No. 13 Bears offense was too much for Lincoln Memorial as L-R took the victory, 22-3.
