HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Lincoln Memorial University men's lacrosse program saw their 2022 season come to a close as they fell on Saturday afternoon to Newberry, ??-?? in South Atlantic Conference action.
 
The Wolves controlled the tempo from the opening faceoff as the visitors raced out to an early 7-1 lead after the first 15 minutes of play. Francis O'Hara was able to get the Splitters on the board.
 
Newberry's offense continued all cylinders as they tallied six goals in the second to take a 13-1 lead. Lincoln Memorial went onto get shots off, but the Wolves' goalie and post were the savior going into the break.
 
Coming out of the break, the Railsplitters defense was able to lock down, limiting the Wolves' chances, but Newberry was able to extend their lead by two early. Rhodes Conroy went onto find the back of the net at the 4:46 mark, but the Wolves took a 15-2 lead into the fourth.
 
The Railsplitters went onto tally twice in the fourth, but the Wolves were able to add an insurance run to make it 16-4 at the 5:32 mark. Lincoln Memorial went onto score just twice more, but it was not enough as the Wolves claimed the victory, 16-6.
