LMU Men's Soccer Announces 2022 Schedule

HARROGATE, Tenn. – The start of the Lincoln Memorial University men's soccer season is just over a month away, as the team released their 2022 fall schedule this afternoon. The Railsplitters will open up with three exhibition games in mid-August before their season opener on Aug. 25.

First-year coach Dale Parker put together a 15-game schedule consisting of four non-conference games preceding the 11-game South Atlantic Conference schedule. In total, the Railsplitters will play nine games in Harrogate, while only traveling for six away contests.

Three exhibition games open up the schedule, as LMU faces Bellarmine, Milligan and UNC Asheville to prepare for the season. The regular season opens up with three-consecutive non-conference home games, with the season opener on Aug. 25 against Charleston (WV). Montevallo comes to town on the 28th and Kentucky Wesleyan travels south to Harrogate on the 31st of August. The non-conference schedule closes out with LMU taking a trip to Union (Tenn.) on Sept. 3.

South Atlantic Conference play begins on Sept. 7, as the Bears of Lenoir-Rhyne visit Harrogate. LMU then host Anderson 10 days later on the 17th. The first SAC road game is a week later on the 24th, as the Railsplitters head to Newberry College. Following that brief road trip, they are back home on the 28th to take on in-state rival Tusculum to close out play in September.

October opens up with two straight road games, as LMU travel to play Coker on Oct. 1, and then stay on the road to play Mars Hill on the 5th. The Railsplitters return home on Oct. 8 to face Catawba, before heading back on the road on the 12th to face off against Carson-Newman. Three days later, Wingate visit LMU for another home contest. The final road trip of the year follows that when LMU head to Limestone on the 22nd. The regular season wraps up against SAC newcomer Emory & Henry as they visit Harrogate on the 26th of October.
