The Railsplitters (3-3-1) took on the Shaw University Bears in a non-conference game and fell short 3-2 on a Wednesday evening at the LMU Lacrosse Complex.

LMU and Shaw were both hot from the jump and got a shot off by
Christian Hatley just a few minutes into the first half.  A few seconds later,
Harry Cooke got a shot off trying to get the Railsplitters on the board.  At 18:19, the Bears got on the board with a goal from Boisey Armwood making it 1-0 in the first.  LMU would get a few more shots off before the half ended and remained scoreless.

The second half started off in favor of LMU getting a goal from
Arkin Ulusoy, with the assist from
Christian Spurlock.  Ulusoy's goal tied it up with just 10 minutes in the second.  LMU had chances to get up a goal but did not capitalize on them.  The Bears got another goal making it 2-1 at 74:27. Just two minutes later, the Bears would score again giving them a 2-goal lead.  However, the Railspitters did not give up hope. Â
Peter Majer got a goal with the assist from
Hunter Stroble at 85:49. Â

The Railsplitters fought hard til the end, but the game did not end in their favor. Â
