The Lincoln Memorial Men's Soccer Team (3-4-1) traveled to Newberry to take on the Wolves (3-4) in a conference match.  The Railsplitters came up short in a 1-0 loss.

Newberry was fast off the starting kick getting a shot off just three minutes into the game.  LMU would then get some shots in by
Christian Hatley and
Alex McNally.  The rest of the half was scoreless – LMU outshot Newberry 8-4 in the first. Â

Starting the second half the Railsplitters came out fast with a shot from
Steven Stone and another from
Kriton Kiousis.  At 69:11, the Wolves got on the board with a goal from Ferran Macian making it 1-0, and the only goal of the game.  LMU was not able to bounce back and will travel back to Harrogate 1-2 in SAC play. Â

LMU outshot Newberry in the second half 6-4.  Newberry had more saves against the Railsplitters making 7, while LMU just had 1.Â
Noteables:
Harry Cooke led the team with 3 shots, 2 shots on goal.
McNally, Stone, and Hatley all had 2 shots with 1 shot on goal.
