Hickory, NC - The 18th ranked Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team traveled to Lenoir-Rhyne for it second to last game of the regular season on Saturday. Up until that point, the Railsplitters had yet to fall in the month of October. However, that changed following Saturday's contest as Lincoln Memorial fell to Lenoir-Rhyne 1-0.
The lone goal of the game came in the 35th minute of action as the Bears' Adrian Martina scored on a goal assisted by Ivan Rubio and Harri Rowe off of a throw in. The Railsplitters failed to get anything going offensively throughout the game, falling 1-0.
With the loss, Lincoln Memorial moved to 9-3-3 on the season with the regular season finale set for Nov. 1 in Emory, VA against Emory & Henry. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM.
The South Atlantic Conference tournament will begin with the quarterfinals on Nov. 4. The semi final will take place on Nov. 10 and the SAC Championship game will take place on Nov. 12. The semi final game and final will be played in Matthews, NC.
