Harrogate, TN – Lincoln Memorial's Women's Volleyball team is hosting the Wingate Bulldogs (12-2, 5-1) today at 2pm for a conference match. The Lady Railsplitters (7-10, 1-6) are coming off a tough conference match against Catawba last night, 3-2 (21-25, 25-23, 22-25, 26-24, 15-17).
Kristen Moehring led LMU with 19 kills and
Amanda Lisi had 42 assists in the 5-set match.
Overall, LMU lost the last meeting last year at Wingate, 3-0. It was the last time the Lady Railsplitters went up against the Bulldog's head coach, Shelton Collier. Collier spent 21 years at Wingate and was elected to their Hall of Fame as the winningest coach at 553-90.
LMU will be looking to
Kristen Moehring and
Ketura Margaret to lead the LMU attack. Moehring is third in the SAC with 229 kills on the year and tied for 36
th in all of DII. Moehring is third for kills per set at 3.52, just .05 behind Allen from Lenoir-Rhyne in the SAC.
Ketura Margaret has 181 kills this season, 6
th in the conference.
Defensively, LMU is led by
Olivia Snyder with 244 digs (tied for 3rd in SAC) and 292 service receptions (8
th in SAC).
Megan Maier is 7
th in the SAC with 293 serve receptions.
