Salisbury, NC - The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team took to Salisbury, NC on Saturday looking to take down 22nd-ranked Catawba on the road. Catawba hadn't lost a game since August 31st, and only had one tie in the midst of an eight game winning streak. The Railsplitters took care of business and tallied a 1-0 win on the road to improve to 7-2-2 on the season, with a 3-2-1 mark in conference play.

The game was quiet most of the way until Kriton Kiousis tallied the game's first goal in the 59th minute with assists from Daniel Burko and Igor Goncalves. It was the only goal scored in the game as LMU goalkeeper Daniel Miklosi forced another shutout with two saves.

The Railsplitters will be back in action on Ocober 11, hosting the Carson-Newman Eagles. Kickoff is slated for 4:00 PM in Harrogate at the LMU Lacrosse Complex.
