UVA-Wise , NC – The Lincoln Memorial women's volleyball team came back from two sets down to defeat UVA-Wise tonight, 3-2. Abbi Kesler,
Agata Bogdanska, and
Ketura Margaret led the Lady Railsplitters with a combined 47 kills.

It was a slow start for the Lady Railsplitters falling behind early in the first two sets. LMU struggled to generate any offense and let the two sets slip away.
After the intermission was a different story.
Set three was a close battle throughout the match until 21-21. LMU scored 4 out of the next five points to close out the set and pick up some much needed momentum. Abi Kesler and
Ketura Margaret both hit .500.
Set four was another close battle early with both teams trading leads until 20-20, when LMU took the five of the next six points to seal the set. Kesler hit .364 with five kills for the set with Margaret right behind with four kills.
LMU took early control of set five and never looked back. UVA-Wise kept it close, getting within one at 6-5, but LMU had a big push to win the set and match, 15-8. Margaret had five kills including the final point.

The Lady Railsplitters will close out the 2023 season at Coker in Hartsville, SC on Friday, the 10th.
