Men's basketball looks to bounce back at Limestone

Harrogate, TN - After falling on the road to Wingate last week, and falling out of the National Association of Basketball Coaches top 25 poll, the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters are seeking a bounce back win on the road against Limestone Saturday. The Saints are coming off of a narrow win over Newberry; the only common opponent thus far between Lincoln Memorial and Limestone.

On the season, the Saints have tallied a record of 4-4, with an unblemished conference record of 3-0, securing wins over UVA-Wise, Carson-Newman, and Newberry to remain perfect in SAC play. Lincoln Memorial has only played two conference games thus far, splitting the pair. The Railsplitters routed Newberry, 89-50 and fell on the road to Wingate 76-73.

Led by Zeb Graha, who averages 18 points-per-game, 3.4 rebounds-per-game, and 3.0 assists-per-game, the Saints have a very balanced scoring attack. Jacquez Yow is the team's second leading scorer, averaging 14.4 points-per-game to go along with a team-leading 6.5 rebounds-per-game. Sirr Hughes follows closely averaging 14.1 points-per-game with 3.3 rebounds-per-game. Greg McKay is Limestone's last player that averages double figures, tallying 12.4 points-per-game to go with 6.1 rebounds-per-game, leaving for Saints averaging double figures in scoring.

However, the Railsplitters also have four players averaging double figures scoring as well.

Me'Kell Burries leads Lincoln Memorial in scoring with 14.8 points-per-game, shooting a blistering 46% from beyond the arc. He is followed by Chase Rankin, who is averaging 12.1 points-per-game, 4.2 rebounds-per-game, and 3.7 assists-per-game. Martez Brown is averaging a double-double of 12.0 points-per-game and 12.0 rebounds-per-game, seemingly unstoppable in the paint. Matthew Sells in the fourth Railsplitter averaging double figures, tallying 11.2 points-per-game. He is also the team's third leading rebounder, hauling in 3.7 rebound-per-game.

In 17 meetings, Lincoln Memorial has dominated the all-time series 12 games to 5, including a current seven game winning streak dating back to 2017. Saturday's match up is slated for tip-off at 4:00pm in Gaffney, SC.
