Gaffney, SC - Lincon Memorial's Women's basketball remains undefeated in South Atlantic Conference play with a 66-56 win at Limestone. 

The Saints would start the scoring at the 12 second mark for a 2-point lead, But Lauren Flowers would hit a fastbreak-3 to put LMU up one: the Lady Railsplitters would never look back.  Layups by Flowers and Maney would open a 5-point lead.  The Saints would score in the paint, then a three by Chloe Savage and a layup by Geo Rios would open the lead to eight, 12-4.  Maney would score the next nine points to give LMU an 11-point lead at the end of the first quarter, 21-10.

Limestone would start the second quarter by scoring the first six points to close the gap to five before a Jamyah Winter 3-pointer ended the rally.  Flowers hit a three to get the lead back to 11.  Zyan Smith would get into the scoring with a three and end the half with a layup to give LMU a 34-20 lead.

Limestone would battle back in the third to get the difference down to four with some solid shooting.  Savage and Alexa Smiddy would open the scoring for LMU, followed by Rios and Flowers.  The quarter ended 44-40 LMU.  

Savage sank two freethrows to open the LMU fourth quarter but the Saints answered back with a three to get the LMU lead down to three.  Smiddy, Flowers, and Maney would score for LMU to open the lead back to 10, 54-44.  Maney, Flowers, and Smiddy add baskets to keep Limestone at-bay, ending the game, 66-56.

LMU shot 45.5% from the field, including 39.1% in 3-pointers (9-23).  Limestone led in team rebounds with 38 compared to LMU's 26.  LMU had 32 points on turnovers with Limestone getting 19.

Lauren Flowers led the Lady Railsplitters with 20 points hitting 7-12 (58%) including going 3-6 in 3-pointers.  Flowers, also, had four steals and six rebounds.  Geo Rios pulled down seven rebounds, had five assists, and had four steals.  Jordan Maney dropped in 18 points (47%).

LMU is 7-1 overall and 3-0 in the SAC, so far this season.  The Lady Railsplitters will next play an out-of-conference game against Southern Wesleyan on New Years Day.
