Harrogate, TN- The Lady Railsplitters traveled to the University of the Cumberlands on Friday, December 1st, and Saturday, December 2nd, to compete in the Patriot Duals. LMU competed in seven total duals on the weekend, four on the first day and three on the second. 


Friday, December 1st

In their first match, LMU would fall to Tiffin University 5-45. Ashley Morris would account for the team's points, earning a win by fall in the 123-pound weight class.

St. Andrews would outedge the Lady Railsplitters 12-11 in the second match of the day. Jenna Blinkewicz would gain her first win of the tournament with a win by fall in the 155-pound weight class. 

Emmanuel defeated LMU in the third contest 0-48.

The fourth contest of the day would feature Lincoln Memorial and the host school, the University of the Cumberlands. Ashley Morris would gain her second win of the day by yet another fall, also in the 123-pound weight class. Cumberlands would win the match 10-40.


Saturday, December 2nd

Ashley Morris would continue the momentum with her third win of the tournament in the 125-pound weight class by fall over Lourdes University. LMU would fall to Lourdes 15-34 in the dual. 

Liberty would defeat Lincoln Memorial 15-25 in the second contest on Saturday. Three weight classes would be forfeited over to Lincoln Memorial in the matchup.

Lincoln Memorial would earn their second dual win in program history with their win over St. Andrews on Saturday. Ashley Morris would go undefeated in the 123-pound weight class with her technical fall win. Stephanie Castro would also put points on the board with a technical fall in the 143-pound weight class. A couple of forfeited weight classes would leave the final score 23-5 in favor of LMU. 


Lincoln Memorial wrestling will be back in action next Saturday, December 9th, at the Baron Duals hosted by Brewton-Parker College.
