Greenville, S.C. - After a dominant season both on and off the mat, Calista Gibson has been named to the Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference team for the winter and spring seasons.  

The Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference teams consist of junior and senior student-athletes in the conference who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution. 
 
The GPA is calculated based on the cumulative averages of the student-athletes through the previous semester and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year. 

Gibson wracked up the accolades this season, as on the mat the Junior was named the Conference Carolinas Women's Wrestler of the Week for the week of January 27th. Gibson ended her season by competing in the NCAA Region III Championship, picking up a win in the consolation bracket.  

Off the mats, Gibson was named the First Century Bank Scholar Athlete of the Week on February 5th, as Gibson is set to be inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma national college athlete honor society later this spring.
