Box Score Harrogate, TN – The Lady Railsplitters were home today taking on the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears. Going into this SAC matchup, Lincoln Memorial was 6-6 overall and 2-3 in conference. LMU fell to Lenoir-Rhyne in overtime, moving to 6-7 overall and 2-4 in conference.
In period 1,
Jaedyn Ryba gained the first draw control of the game and moved it down the field to where she allowed
Ali Van Der Ziel to score the first goal.
Ali Van Der Ziel scored yet another goal, after a caused turnover by
Delaney Duck.
Josie Tinnerello scored back to back goals, the 2
nd assisted by
Camdyn Bullard.
Ali Van Der Ziel closed out the 1
st period with her 3
rd goal of the game. Going into the 2
nd period, LMU was up 5-2 over the Bears. The Bears scored 3 goals to tie it up 5-5.
Ali Van Der Ziel then scored her 4
th goal of the game, giving LMU the lead. Lenoir-Rhyne then tied it up again, but
Camdyn Bullard responded with a goal assisted by
Josie Tinnerello to close out the half.
In period 3,
Josie Tinnerello started things off with a free position goal.
Ana Carney came up with the draw control, and
Ryann Doyle picked up a groundball to move the ball down the field.

th period,

Samantha Billingsley picked up a groundball to move the ball into Bears territory.

Ana Carney scored a goal to give LMU a 2-goal lead over the Bears. Lenoir-Rhyne scored 2 more goals by the end of the period to tie it up and send the game into overtime. In overtime,
Ryann Doyle gained the draw control, but then LMU turned the ball over and Lenoir-Rhyne called a timeout. Lenoir-Rhyne scored a free position shot to end the game, winning 11-10.
Lincoln Memorial fell to Lenoir-Rhyne in overtime 10-11. The Lady Railsplitters will be back in action next Saturday April 8, 2023, away at Limestone at 12 pm.
