Men's Lacrosse traveled over to South Carolina to take on the #3 seed in the SAC tournament, Newberry College in the first round of the playoffs coming in at the #6 seed.  They have not been in the SAC tournament since 2018.

Michael Rogers got the guys started with getting the first faceoff and allowing LMU to get a shot off.  Newberry struck first just three minutes in, and not even a minute later
Gavin Reid answered, making it 1-1. LMU then went on a 3-0 run with two goals from
Hunter Kot and another from Reid.  Newberry ended the run with a goal of their own, but the end of the first quarter was 4-2. Â

The teams were back and forth with having possession on offense and firing shots.  Newberry tied it up with six minutes left before half. Â
Daniel Pearl got on the board with a goal of his own.  Newberry then struck with two more goals before halftime, making it 5-6. Â

Out of halftime, the Wolves went on a 7-0 run, making it 5-13. Â
Gavin Reid ended the run with an assist from
Francis O'Hara.  LMU then tried to go on a run of their own as
Rhodes Conroy got a goal with an assist from
Jenson Jones, and
Kevin Jendrasik getting a goal before the third quarter ended.  The score being 8-13.

In the final quarter, Newberry find their rhythm and went on an 8-0 run.
Rhodes Conroy got one final goal in before the game ended with the final score being 8-20. Â

Gavin Reid led with three goals.

Rhodes Conroy each had two.
Daniel Pearl and
Kevin Jendrasik each had one.
