Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial University Women's Soccer team will begin their Fall 2023 season on the road tomorrow, August 31st, for a neutral site contest against the University of Mount Olive. The Lady Railsplitters are slated for a 11 AM start at Bryan Multi-Sports Complex in Goldsboro, NCÂ to take on the Trojans.Â
The two programs have met six times in their history, with Lincoln Memorial leading the series 3-2-1. The task of extending won't be easy, however, as they face a Mount Olive team coming off their third-straight Conference Carolinas regular season crown. Under new Head Coach Glad Bugariu, the Trojans were voted third in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll.
With a mix of new and old faces for LMU, the Lady Railsplitters have already started off strong, gaining two wins in their preseason exhibition matches against Centre College and King University. The team will also look to lean on senior Corrine Denton who earned Third Team SAC Preseason All-Conference honors.Â
