Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial University Women's Soccer team fell 0-2 to #17 ranked Columbus State on Sunday.Â
Columbus State would strike early in the game with an Emma Beddow goal assisted by Lauren Barnes in the 11th minute. The Lady Cougars would add to their lead in the 73rd minute with a goal by Kendal Coreil assisted by Faith Knoedler. CSU would stay aggressive throughout the game, holding possession in their attacking half 74% of the time. Despite the two goals, the Lady Splitters remained relatively solid on defense, led by eight saves from goalkeeper
Bente Latenstein.Â
The Lady Railsplitters (2-1) will be on the road on Wednesday, September 13th, for a 1 PM start against Shaw University (4-1) at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Raleigh, NC.
