Harrogate, TN - Lincoln Memorial Women's Volleyball (5-3) will travel to Greenwood, SC today for their last preseason tournament. They will face North Greenville at 2:30pm and Fayetteville State at 5pm. They will be playing in the Finis Horne Arena at Lander University.
Tomorrow, the Lady Railsplitters will face Barton at 10am and host Lander at 3pm to close out the weekend.
LMU is coming off a loss to SAC foe, Mars Hill, this week. LMU will continue to look to improve their play and get stronger as they look forward to continuing conference matches.
North Greenville (Tigerville, SC) is out of the Conference Carolinas and is currently 4-3 with a recent loss to Lander. Historically, LMU is 6-0 versus the Crusaders with the last meeting in 2010.
Fayetteville State (Fayetteville, NC) is 2-6 this year and is out of the CIAA (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Conference). This will be LMU's first meeting with the Broncos.
Barton (Wilson, NC) is out of the Conference Carolinas and is 3-1 to start the year. Recently, the Bulldogs lost to SAC member UVA Wise 2-3.
The host team, Lander Bearcats, are 7-2 in 2023 and are out of the Peach Belt Conference. LMU is 8-7, historically, with Lander.
Looking ahead at the week for Women's volleyball, LMU will be home on Tuesday, September 19, to face SAC member Emory & Henry at 7pm. Then the Lady Railsplitters will be on the road for a 7pm match on Friday, the 22
nd, at Limestone.
