Anderson, SC- The Lady Railsplitters tied the Lady Trojans of Anderson University in their first South Atlantic Conference game of the season. 

LMU would strike first when they would get a breakaway in the 36th minute. A scramble for the ball in the box would end with Ellie Snyder finding the back of the net. The score would remain 1-0 favoring Lincoln Memorial for much of the relatively quiet game. 

Anderson would get an opportunity in the 80th minute to score with a penalty kick, a chance that LMU goalkeeper Bente Latenstein would shut down with one of her five saves on the day. 

McKenna Falarski, however, would come up with a goal for the Lady Trojans off of a corner kick to tie up the game in the 86th minute. Solid goalkeeping from Anderson's Vicky McGovern would keep the scoring at bay and keep the score knotted at the final buzzer.

LMU (4-1-1, 0-0-1) will hit the road to Tigerville, SC to take on North Greenville University (1-3) on Wednesday, September 20th, with a 5 PM start at Pepsi Stadium.
