LMU Women's Soccer to Face North Greenville on the Road

Harrogate, TN- Women's soccer will be on the road on Wednesday, September 20th, for a midweek match against North Greenville University. The game will be at Pepsi Stadium in Tigerville, SC with a 5 PM start.

The Lady Railsplitters are coming off their SAC opener in which they tied 1-1 with the Anderson Trojans. With this tie, they come to 4-1-1 on the season. LMU hopes to continue spreading their attack with seven point-scorers on the season, five of these with at least one goal. Alicia Bevins with her 0.700 shot-on-goal percentage and combined goalkeeping presenting a 0.833 save percentage are a few notable statistics on the season for Lincoln Memorial.

The North Greenville Crusaders were voted second with four first-place votes in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches Poll. Since then, NGU has gone 1-3, including losses against SAC schools Carson-Newman and Catawba College. The Crusaders are coming off their first win of the season on Saturday against Southern Wesleyan University.

The two programs have only faced one another once before, a matchup that the Railsplitters took 11-0 back in 2004. 19 years later, the squads are ready to face off again. Crusaders to watch will be goalkeeper Haleigh Holland who has posted a 0.649 save percentage on the season as well as Isabella Gyurich and Elainee Sprinkle who both have two goals on the year.
