Harrogate, TN- The Lincoln Memorial Women's soccer team will have their home conference opener against Newberry College on Saturday, September 23rd. The matchup will take place at the LMU Lacrosse Complex with a 1:30 PM start following the conclusion of the LMU vs Coker field hockey match at 11 AM. The men's game will follow at 4 PM.

Lincoln Memorial will be back in Harrogate after being on the road for the last three games. The Lady Railsplitters are currently 4-2-1 and look to earn their first SAC win of the year. The matchup will be a big one, with the team dubbing it their "Stronger Together" game. 

Assistant Coach Kaitlyn Jones added this ahead of Saturday's head-to-head: "We're looking forward to fully getting into conference play with non-conference competition now behind us and excited to finally have a home game after a long spell on the road. The team is focused and primed for the conference games that lay ahead, starting with Newberry tomorrow."

Newberry College sits at 3-3-1 on the 2023 season, going 1-1-1 in the conference so far. This conference play has included a loss to #4 Catawba, a tie with Emory & Henry, and, most recently, a win over Limestone. A player to watch for the Lady Wolves will be Jaidyn Jacobs, who has five of Newberry's eleven goals on the year. 
Newberry and Lincoln Memorial are no strangers to one another as this will be the 20th matchup between the programs. LMU holds the record over NC with ten wins, seven losses, and two ties.
