Harrogate, TN – Lincoln Memorial's Women's Volleyball team is traveling to Jefferson City, TN to play the Carson-Newman Eagles (7-8, 5-2) at 2pm for a conference match on Saturday, September 30th. The Lady Railsplitters (7-8, 1-4) are coming off a tough conference loss to Tusculum (9-4, 5-1) on Tuesday, 3-0.
Kristen Moehring led LMU with 12 kills and
Amanda Lisi had 19 assists in that match.
Overall, LMU is 39-27 (15-17 SAC) versus Carson-Newman, with the Lady Railsplitters losing to the Eagles earlier this month, 3-2, in Harrogate. In that match,
Kristen Moehring and
Ketura Margaret both combined for 31 kills, with
Olivia Snyder having 10 digs. Julia Wheeler led CNU with 17 kills, followed closely by Emmagrace Cobb with 15 in 22 swings (.500 pct.).
The Lady Railsplitters will be looking to
Kristen Moehring and
Ketura Margaret to lead the LMU attack. Moehring is second in the SAC with 192 kills on the year and tied for second in kills per set at 3.49. Margaret has 172 kills this season.
Carson-Newman is 7-8 overall and 5-2 in the SAC. The Eagles are defeated Mars Hill Friday evening, 3-1.
