Harrogate, TN- Women's volleyball will take on back-to-back game days this Friday, October 11th, and Saturday, October 12th. They will first head to Salisbury, NC for a 7 PM Friday match up with Catawba followed by a 3 PM contest on Saturday at Limestone.
Lincoln Memorial is coming off a huge win against Carson-Newman on Wednesday, taking down the in-state rival in four sets and handing the Eagles their first conference loss of the season. They enter the weekend 10-4 (4-3) on the season. The team is averaging 12.2 kills per set while also averaging over two aces per set and nearly 15 digs per set.
Kristen Moehring leads the team and the conference in kills (217) and kills per set (4.09) on the season, entering the 1,000 Kill Club this past Wednesday night. Other stat leaders include
Agata Bogdanska, who is third in the conference in blocks per set (1.14) while tallying 61 on the season.Â
LMU holds the series 20-16 against Catawba all-time. Catawba's 2024 campaign has gone 2-9 so far, 1-4 in conference play. They most recently earned their second conference win over Coker last Friday in five, but have only hit .120 on the season. LMU will look to stay aggressive in the first of the weekend's contests.Â
Lincoln Memorial also holds the all-time history against Limestone, winning last year's contest in sweeping fashion. In 2024, the Saints are 4-5 overall and 3-3 in conference contests. A five-set loss to Anderson earlier this week and a Friday match-up with Lenoir-Rhyne will be the lead-up to facing the Splitters on Saturday. As a team, Limestone is hitting .157 on the year while falling to their opponents in the attack, set, serve, dig, and block stat categories.Â
