Jefferson City, TN - The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team keep their win streak alive with a win on the road against Carson-Newman 2-1 Wednesday evening.
LMU was the first team to put a goal on the board in the 35th minute with an own goal from Carson-Newman. Lincoln Memorial was able to keep the lead for the remainder of the first half.Â
Carson-Newman scored the equalizer in the 67th minute when Daniel Vennesland scored, unassisted. The Railsplitters took back the lead in the 77th minute when
Steven Stone scored a goal, also unassisted. Lincoln Memorial was able to keep the Eagles from scoring again to secure the win.Â
With the win, the Railsplitters improve to 7-2-2 and 4-2-1 in the SAC. Their next match will be in Mars Hill, NC as they will face Mars Hill on Sunday, October 20. Kickoff is slated for a 6 pm kick off.Â
