Mars Hill, NC - The Lincoln Memorial men's soccer team is looking to extend their win streak as they face Mars Hill on the road Sunday evening. 

The first match up between the Lions and Railsplitters was in October of 2007, where the game ended in a 1-1 draw in double overtime. Their most recent match up was last season, in October of 2023, where LMU defeated Mars Hill 3-0. The series record between the two teams in 8-11-1. 

The Railsplitters are currently on a 4-game win streak: a 2-1 win against Tusculum, a 2-0 shutout against Wingate, a 1-0 shutout against Newberry, and a 2-1 win against Carson-Newman. This is the longest win streak they have had since the 2022 season. In their most recent match up against Carson-Newman, an own goal was scored in the 35th minute, and Steven Stone scored in the 77th minute. Botond Skulka is in the lead in points with 7, and Ronan O'Mahony is second with 6. 

Mars Hill is coming off of a 2-1 win against Lenoir-Rhyne.

In the SAC standings, LMU is in 3rd place with 13 points  while Mars Hill is tied for 4th with Wingate, Catawba, Anderson, and Lenoir-Rhyne with 9 points. 

If the Railsplitters come out of this match victorious, it will be the longest win streak they have had since the 2015 season with a 5-game win streak.
