Mars Hill, NC - The Lincoln Memorial women's soccer team looks to continue their win streak on Sunday as they travel to Mars Hill, NC to face Mars Hill. 

There is a long history between the two teams, with the first match against each other being in September of 1995, where the Lions defeated the Lady Railsplitters 2-3. In their most recent match up, which was last season in October of 2023, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. LMU is dominating the series record which is 19-5-1. 

Lincoln Memorial currently has a 3-game win streak: a 2-1 win against Georgia College, a 3-0 shutout against Newberry, and a 1-0 shutout against Carson-Newman. In their most recent match against Carson-Newman, Ryan Branson scored the only goal of the match not even a minute into the second half, which was assisted by Viktoria Filsner. Branson is currently first on the team in points with 9. Jade Brown and Alicia Bevins are tied for second with 5 points each. 

Mars Hill is coming off of a 3-0 loss against Lenoir-Rhyne. The Lions have lost their last 6 matches.

In the SAC standings, LMU is in 4th with 11 points while Mars Hill is in 10th place with 1 point. 

If Lincoln Memorial defeats the Lions, they will hold the longest win streak they have had since the 2022 season with a 4-game win streak.
