Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial women's soccer team will host Anderson Saturday afternoon for their 9th SAC match up of the season. They are looking to continue their 4-game win streak.
The first match up between the two teams dates back to August of 1997, where the Lady Railsplitters defeated the Trojans 5-0. The last time that they faced each other was last season, in September of 2023, where the game ended in a 1-1 draw. The series record between the two teams is 5-7-2.
Lincoln Memorial is coming off of a pair of wins this past week: a 1-0 shutout against Carson-Newman and a 2-0 shutout against Mars Hill. In their most recent match against Mars Hill,
Ryan Branson scored in the 10th minute unassisted and Viktoris Filsner scored off of an assist from
Jade Brown in the 89th minute. Branson, who was also named one of the two Juice Spot Railsplitter of the Week's, is first on the team in points with 11 (5 goals, 1 assist). Brown is behind her with 6 (2 goals, 2 assists).
Anderson is coming off of a 0-0 draw against North Greenville.
In the SAC standings, LMU is sitting in 4th with 14 points while Anderson is tied for 6th with Emory & Henry and Carson-Newman with 9 points.
