LMU Comes Back And Defeats Limestone

Box Score Gaffney, SC - The Lincoln Memorial women's soccer team defeats the Limestone Saints Saturday afternoon for their seventh win of the season.

Limestone put themselves on the scoreboard early when Berta Del Hoyo scored in the 13th minute assisted by Lucia Hidalgo. No other goals were scored in the first half.

Despite LMU trailing coming into the second half, they were still able to pull through and put the ball in the back of the net. Meg Anderson was first to score for the Lady Railsplitters in the 59th minute with the assist coming from Viktoria Filsner. In the 79th minute, LMU took the lead when Riley Miller scores her first goal of the season with Filsner getting her second assist of the match. Lincoln Memorial was able to keep Limestone from scoring in the final 10 minutes to secure the win. 

With the win, Lincoln Memorial improves to 7-4-3 on the season and 5-4-3 in the SAC. They will play their last regular season game at home on Wednesday, November 6th at 5 pm before heading into post-season play.
