Gaffney, SC - The Lincoln Memorial women's basketball team will open their season at the SAC/Conference Carolinas Challenge in Gaffney, SC on Saturday and Sunday.
The Lady Railsplitters have opened their season with the SAC/Conference Carolianas Challenge since the 2021-2022 season.
Lincoln Memorial was voted 6th in the SAC Preseason Coaches' Poll, and
Alexa Smiddy was voted preseason second team all-conference.
Matty Tanner and
Kamil Collier were identified as players to watch.
LMU vs Converse | November 9th, 1 pm
LMU will first play Converse on Saturday, November 9th at 1 pm. The Lady Railsplitters have come out on top all 8 times that they have faced the Valkyries, with the most recent match up ending in a 63-60 win.
Converse was voted 8th in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll, while Jordan Brown, Tatiana Brown, and Elisa Solé Sanchez were recognized as players to watch for Conference Carolinas.
LMU vs King | November 10th, 2 pm
Lincoln Memorial will then face King on Sunday, November 10 at 2 pm. The series record between LMU and King is 15-5. The first ever match up between the two teams was in 1974 and ended in a 66-20 win, and the most recent match up between LMU and King was last season, in November of 2023, and resulted in a 87-65 win.
King was voted to finish 12th in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll, and Mariya Williams, Sarah Thompson, and Alexa Gramann were identified as players to watch.
