Harrpgate, TN - With Lincoln Memorial locking in the #4 seed Wednesday night against Emory & Henry, they will host a quarterfinal match in the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Tournament, facing the Coker Cobras Saturday evening.
This will be the 11th time that the two teams have met. LMU faced Coker earlier this season, on September 28th, and Lincoln Memorial came out victorious 3-1.
Lincoln Memorial ended the season with a two game win streak coming into the conference tournament: a 2-1 win over Limestone and a 2-0 shutout over Emory & Henry. In their most recent match up against Emory & Henry,
Meg Anderson scored in the 83rd minute off of a
Ryan Branson assist, and
Alicia Bevins scored not much later in the 86th minute, assisted by
Ellie Snyder. Branson is currently in the lead in points with 12, with Bevins behind her with 7.
Bente Latenstein has 54 saves on the season.
Coker is coming off of a 2-1 loss against Wingate on Wednesday.
The quarterfinal match is slated to kick off at 6:30 pm at LMU Lacrosse Complex. If the Lady Railsplitters come out victorious, they will play the winner of Carson-Newman and Wingate in the semifinal match on Friday, November 15th in Matthews, NC.
