Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial women's basketball team is set to take on Emory & Henry at home on Wednesday with tip-off slated for 5:30. After starting the season 11-1, Lincoln Memorial has found itself losing five of its last six contests, and is seeking to bounce back against the Wasps.
The Lady Splitters are 6-2 at home this season, and are 12-1 all-time against Emory & Henry with the series dating back to 1930. After 1938, the teams didn't meet again until the year before the Wasps made the jump to division II. (2021).
Lincoln Memorial is led in scoring by
Lauren Flowers, averaging 15.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. She is followed in scoring by
Jordan Maney who averages 14.2 points per game to go along with 4.1 rebounds per game.
Alexa Smiddy is the only other Lady Railsplitter currently averaging double figure points per game, with 11.6 points per game. She also chips in 2.7 rebounds per game. Geo Rios continues to be the best rebounding guard in the conference, hauling in 8.5 rebounds per game from the point guard position. She also chips in 8.8 points per game, nearly averaging a double-double.
Matty Tanner leads the Lady Splitters in three pointers made and three point field goal percentage (40, .392). Much like Rios,
Chloe Savage is also playing some very well-rounded basketball, averaging 5.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
