Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) men's tennis team showcased their talents in a hard-fought battle against the University of Montevallo, emerging with a final score of 4-3. 

The Railsplitters delivered stellar performances across both doubles and singles matches, securing a memorable win at home. 

In the doubles encounters, LMU set the tone for the match with an impressive showing. While the duo of Thom Hermans and Harper Mills faced a tough challenge in the #1 Doubles, the team swiftly bounced back as Alexandru Giurea and Sergio Sebastian Aranzeta Boneta clinched a crucial win in the #2 Doubles against Philippe Zehender and Vittorio Noli. The momentum continued in the #3 Doubles, with Nic Goslar and Mathias Roy displaying teamwork to secure another victory for LMU. 

As the competition shifted to the singles matches, LMU continued to shine on the courts. In a standout performance, Alexandru Giurea delivered a commanding display in the #1 Singles, defeating Leo Lazarides with a scoreline of 6-4, 6-1. 

 Despite a fierce challenge from Philippe Zehender in the #2 Singles, William Jonsson showcased his determination, pushing his opponent to a tie-breaker in the second set. 

The battle intensified in the #4 Singles, with Thom Hermans demonstrating grit and determination against Ryota Nakajima. Despite dropping the second set, Hermans rallied back to claim victory in a thrilling third-set tie-breaker, securing a crucial point for LMU.  

LMU continued their dominance in the lower singles matches, with Sergio Sebastian Aranzeta Boneta delivering a dominant performance in the #5 Singles, winning another crucial point for the Railsplitters.
