Harrogate, TN- College Sport Communicators recognizes student-athletes for their performance on the field and in the classroom by selecting the nation's best to the 2023-24 Academic All-District Softball Teams, divided up into four divisions (DI, DII, DIII, and NAIA). Five ladies from the LMU softball team were recognized to the NCAA Division II Academic All-District Team:
Anna Kate Reichter,
Sterre den Duijn,
Nicole Couvertiere,
Gracie Palmer, and
Victoria Conley.
Reichter is a sophomore from Knoxville, TN, majoring in accounting. The outfielder posted a .336/.351/.461 on the season on top of her academic performance on the year.
A senior from Valkenswaard, Netherlands, den Duijn hit for .300 on the year while being hit by pitch more times than striking out on the season. She graduates with her degree in exercise science.
Couvertiere, a sophomore from Knoxville, TN, is pursuing her degree in exercise science. Couvertiere became a solid performer for the team in the outfield, also posting slugging and on-base percentages over .400 on the season.
A sophomore from Knoxville, TN, Palmer became key for the Splitters at shortstop while also being a threat on the base path, holding hte most stolen bases for the team. She is majoring in exercise science.
Conley is a senior from Oak Forest, IL, posting a a 1.79 WHIP with a 9-6 record on the mound. She graduates with her degree in veterinary health.
