Harrogate, TN - The Lincoln Memorial Lady Railsplitters fell to the University of North Georgia on Wednesday afternoon.
The scoring started in the first half for the Nighthawks as Sam Cottle scored her first goal of the match in the 24th minute, assisted by Darby Olive. Sam Cottle would score her second goal in the 38th minute, assisted by Alex Clark. The Lady Railsplitters were scoreless in the first half.
In the second half, UNG would start the scoring with another Sam Cottle goal in the 50th minute, unassisted. The last goal that the University of North Georgia would score would be in the 65th minute, scored by Meghan O'Brian, unassisted.
Lincoln Menorial would start their scoring not too soon after that in the 67th minute when
Meg Anderson would score off of an
Alicia Bevins assist. In the 81st minute,
Ryan Branson would cut UNG's lead in half.
The Nighthawks were able to keep LMU from their scoring streak to secure the win 4-2.
With the loss, the Lady Railspltitters move to 1-2-1 on the season and 1-1-1 at home.
Their next match will be on Saturday against Catawba College. Kickoff is set for 1 pm at LMU Lacrosse Complex.
